“Childhood immunizations are important to protect children, young adults and our entire community from preventable diseases,” said Gino Santorio, President/CEO of Broward Health. “Broward Health is proud to partner with Memorial Healthcare System and Community Care Plan to ensure our community is educated on the benefits of vaccination and provided with greater access to care.”

“Some diseases may spread quickly and easily from person to person, and immunizations are a way to protect ourselves and the community,” added Aurelio Fernandez III, President and CEO of Memorial Healthcare System. “We are pleased to collaborate in a program that will provide valuable information and benefit the overall health of our community.”

Vaccinations are one of the best ways parents can protect infants, children, and teens from 16 harmful diseases. Vaccine-preventable diseases can be serious, may require hospitalization, and can be deadly – particularly in young children. It is important that parents ensure their children are up to date on their vaccinations, particularly before the new school year begins.

“Community Care Plan is delighted to participate in such a collaborative effort with Broward Health and Memorial Healthcare System and continue to educate the public about the importance of vaccines,” said Jessica Lerner, President & CEO of Community Care Plan.
